RMVHF+ Participation Certificate for 2007 June VHF Contest

For 2007 we changed the rules and we added the Senior Certificate Designation...

Although not designed yet, we want to announce that this Certificate for RMVHF+ Net members will be available.  We've modified the rules... First time Certificate applicants need 10 contacts, with a minimum of 5 on 2 meter or above.  Second time applicants need a minimum of 20 contacts with 10 on 2 metes or above. Third time applicants need 50 contacts with a minimum of 25 on 2 meters or above.  Forth time and above need a minimum of 100 contacts with a minimum of 25 on 2 meters and above. The exchange made during this contest is simply call sign and grid square. A signal report is sometimes given but not necessary as it is fairly much superfluous  information. The bands used in this contest are 50 MHz and above. Submission of contact logs should be sent to:

Ken Anderson - WØETT
7906 E Homestead Rd.
Parker, CO  80138

Please get you contest logs to Ken by the end of June so that we can get the certificates back to you ASAP. We hope to be sending out a lot of certificates this year and show that our VHF/UHF bands are occupied before the FCC decides in their 'infinite wisdom' to auction them off as unused spectrum.

PARTICIPATION CERTIFICATE OFFERED

The Net Control Operators of the RMVHF+ net are offering a Participation Certificate to RMVHF+ members. This certificate will be available to stations of the RMVHF+ net that submit a log indicating they have made at least 10 contacts (SSB/CW) during the up coming ARRL sponsored June VHF QSO Party. The event will be held this year, June 11/12, 2005, (1800Z June 11 - 0300Z June 13). Anyone checking into the RMVHF+ Net on Monday evenings at 8PM (local time) on 144.220 MHz is considered a member of the group.

This certificate is being offer in an effort to obtain greater participation in this annual event. Also, some may feel intimidated by contest operation and this would be a good chance to get ones feet wet. This event is really painless and should afford new hams as well as older members a chance to get on the air during this event and exercise their equipment.

The exchange made during this contest is simply call sign and grid square. A signal report is sometimes given but not necessary as it is fairly much superfluous  information. The bands used in this contest are 50 MHz and above.

A certificate of participation will also be issued for the July 16-17 CQ event!
